Jacque Casillas for Corona City Council, District 1

Quality of Life

Quality of Life

Jacque believes that an engaged community, reduced traffic congestion, and improved health and wellness are all key to preserving the high quality of life that draws people to our City.

Countless hours with our loved ones are lost every week due to high traffic congestion.  This is a challenge that deserves creative solutions such as developing walkable communities, improving access to public transit, and leveraging Federal, State, County, and private resources to invest in freer movement along our corridors.

Our City must do more to promote healthy lifestyles from a young age.  From our world-class parks and our network of biking and hiking trails in our hills, to our farmer’s market, Corona has a lot to offer.  We must compete for additional grant resources to develop programing to connect these pieces together to provide comprehensive experiences that incentivize healthy choices together.

Jacque believes that transparency and community engagement are critical to ensuring our community’s interests are best being served. Jacque will hold regular office hours to get the community’s feedback on critical issues facing Corona.  Jacque will advocate for the creation of new citizen’s commissions to allow more opportunities for Coronans to weigh in on the issues facing the City Council.
